Introduction

  Liu Yanpeng, college of Aerospace engineering, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Professor, PhD supervisor, 15th batch of national Overseas High-level Talent Introduction Program youth program, Jiangsu Province Double Innovation Talents and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Long Air Talents program selected.

Education background

  Dr. Liu received his Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Shandong University, Shandong, China in 2008. Then, he received his master’s degree and doctor’s degree from Sungkyunkwan university (SKKU), National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2011 and 2016, respectively.Between 2016 and 2019, he worked as a joint postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Kian Ping LOH’s groups at the Graphene Research Centre (GRC) and Centre for Advanced 2D Materials (CA2DM), National University of Singapore (NUS).

Research experience

(1) Large-size, high-quality low-dimensional material growth and its potential industrial application

(2) Investigate novel properties of electronic states in quantum material including low-dimensional materials and its heterojunctions.

(3) Atomic-scale study on molecular beam epitaxial (MBE) growth 2D thin films via low-temperature scanning tunneling microscope (LT-STM).

(4) Realize next generation functional device in hydrovoltaic device, multi-field optical detector, magnetometer, nonvolatile memory device.

(2) Exploiting new physical phenomenon in 2D materials and their heterostructure

(3) In-depth understanding the physical properties of water & ice with 2D materials
