Personal Profile:
Dr. Sun Mingxu is a Associate Professor (National High-Level Young Talent), Associate Professor, and Master’s Supervisor. He joined Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics’ International Frontier Science Research Institute in 2024 after returning to China. His research focuses on cutting-edge electrocatalytic CO₂ reduction, with emphasis on:Reaction mechanism exploration (e.g., intermediates dynamics and microenvironment regulation);Catalyst design (structure-controlled and composition-tunable electrodes);System optimization (electrolyzer architecture and operational parameters). As the first/corresponding author, he has published multiple high-impact papers in journals like Nature Communications, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Advanced Science, and ACS Catalysis, and holds 3 national invention patents. He leads projects funded by the National Major Talent Program (Category A), Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation, and Japan’s “Decarbonization” Science and Technology Promotion Fund. He serves as a Young Editor for journals like Research, Carbon Neutralization, FlexMat, and Green Carbon.
Recruitment: Welcomes students from backgrounds in chemistry, physics, materials, environment, and mechanical engineering!
