Personal Profile

Zidong Zhang , Research Fellow. He obtained his Ph.D. from Nanjing University in 2021 and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher and specially appointed associate researcher at the same university. He joined Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in June 2025. His research focuses on the design and realization of metamaterials driven by novel physical effects, leveraging the synergy of multi-scale theoretical modeling, experimental preparation, and precise characterization to develop elastic wave metamaterials spanning macro to micro-nano scales. He aims to achieve high-precision control of elastic waves (including surface acoustic waves, Lamb waves, bulk waves, etc.) across a broad frequency range of 10 kHz–100 GHz, advancing the design and application of novel elastic wave functional devices. In recent years, as the first author, he has published multiple research  in internationally authoritative journals such as Physical Review Letters(2 ), Advanced MaterialsNano LettersPhysical Review Applied(6 ), and Physical Review B. He has presided over one National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Youth Program and one China Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Program, and as a core participant, he contributed to one National Key Research and Development Program and one Major Research Plan of the NSFC
